Welcome to Ocean Academy Charter School!

As the Head of School, it is my pleasure to have been involved in the development and implementation of the first charter school in Ocean County. Ocean Academy Charter School is the result of years of preparation combined with determination and hard work. I am thrilled to be part of the fantastic team that brought this school to Lakewood.

We are so excited to be in our newly completed building again this year. The first two floors were completed and we were able to thrive with that this past year. For this 2021-2022 school year, we will have the third floor with enough space to expand to our goal of 8th grade by 2023. Our gym is gigantic, our cafeteria is spacious, and soon we will start working on a fantastic playground.

This past 2020-2021 school year was a year for the history books. Students and staff wore masks, plexiglass shields were around desks, social distancing in effect, and remote instruction were all new procedures and processes that were designed to keep our children and staff safe.
Until we are confident that the coronavirus is no longer a threat, we will continue to do everything we can to ensure this school is a safe place for your children.

Unfortunately, with Covid-19 still a threat, we cannot have an open house with a tour of our school. As soon as we are able, you will receive an invitation from us to come and celebrate! In the meantime, thank you for entrusting your children into our care for a quality education. You will not be disappointed!
